It's just been announced that the next expansion for The Sims 3 is going to be called Sims 3 Ambitions. With this EP, you'll get new careers that require more in depth game play. Instead of sending your sims to fall down a rabbit hole while at work, you actually direct what your sims does while at work. Like, if your ambition is to be a doctor, you can go around and make house calls or treat patients at the hospital. It's sorta like World Adventures, but career style!

Finally! EA has been listening and is taking the first step out of rabbit holes! Now, all they need to do is do this for all community lots.

As for Ambitions, I am more of a creator than anything so this wouldn't really have an affect on me because I'm not usually into gameplay.

pets was the worst sims 2 ep, this is a bit like OFB, which was my favourite ep and im defo going to buy it.

I love the sounds of this, but I still hope they put opportunities in that require you to go to different locations. I like the sound of the P.I. career. Should be fun!

I am really excited for this EP! I agree that I (personally) would prefer pets first, but whatever I'll take what I can get! I definitely agree that community lots should follow through and be playable as well. I have felt that community lots should be playable for some time longer than jobs (I.E. Sims2 Nightlife and other EP's that gave you shopping areas with playable community lots). I just wonder since the jobs now become more playable how it will affect how quickly time passes. Some actions in the game take way to long (IMO) than they would comparable to real time. Yes I know it's a game so I'm not really complaining, just wondering if some jobs will seem more limited to actions based on clock speed?

Weather won't come out AT LEAST until next year. Maybe December of this year.

This is actually what I've been asking for since Sims 3 first came out. It was such a tease when my cop sim could question pedestrians. I was excited but then dismayed because I wanted so much more!

Well there is said to be earthquakes in this pack, so why leave out weather? There's still hope
